The latest rumor floating around the WNY political scene is that the highly respected former Mayor of Buffalo, Tony Masiello, might be interested in becoming Erie County Democratic Chairman at the invitation of NYS Governor Andrew Cuomo, his #1 booster for the job...But, only IF he were able to get the job without a fight, a circumstance that seems unlikely at best.

The truth probably is that he really doesn't want to become Chairman, but is keeping the door open a crack out of deference to the Governor.

We'll see.
