Monday night's forum for the four Democratic county chairman candidates featured no fireworks. Cheektowaga Town Chairman Frank Max offered a very strong, forceful presentation. Successful businessman Jim Eagan spoke in a very professional manner as did County Legislature chief of staff Jeremy Zellner. Buffalo attorney Marc Panepinto was the only one to offer a novel proposal, suggesting in an interview with YNN that there be two Dem chairpersons...one of the city and one for the rest of the county.

Many were quick to point out that the Eagan camp's letter to current committee members was the only one that included the union bug, proof that it was prepared by union printers. Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz observed the scene quietly, offering no indication as to who if anyone he might endorse.
