"Kennedy Has Stood Up For Hard Working Families"
Written by Glenn Gramigna, Editor

Kennedy receives Working Families Party endorsement

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Working Families Party has endorsed Senator Tim
Kennedy in his re-election bid, citing his pursuit of better-paying
jobs for Western New Yorkers and relentless advocacy on behalf of
middle class families.

“I’m honored to receive the Working Families Party endorsement,”
Kennedy said.  “When I was elected into office only 17 months ago,
Albany was home to the most dysfunctional legislature in the nation. I
vowed to change the way our state government operates, and I look
forward to continuing to move our state in a new direction.”

Throughout his first term in the Senate, Tim Kennedy has taken an
aggressive approach to governing. When funding to local schools was in
jeopardy of being slashed, yet Wall Street Millionaires were slated to
receive a tax bailout, Kennedy led the charge to ensure that our
children were protected and that Wall Street paid its fair share.
Kennedy stood strongly opposed to the proposal and helped mount a
statewide effort to overturn it.

“Tim Kennedy has consistently stood up for the hardworking families of
Western New York,” said party co-chair, Paul Schuh.  “He has brought a
blue-collar mentality to the State Capitol, and he has worked
tirelessly on issues that are important to this area, like job
creation and economic development.”

Since being elected in 2010 after defeating 30-year incumbent Bill
Stachowksi and Republican Jack Quinn, III, Kennedy has worked to
create jobs, protect children and families and stand up for Western
New York.  He now seeks re-election in the 63rd district, which
includes the City of Buffalo, the town of Cheektowaga and the City of
Lackawanna.

Kennedy has now secured the endorsements of the Democratic Party,
Independence Party and Working Families Party.
